Random Facts: One reason FDR is on the U.S. dime, is because he helped etablish the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (Aka the March of Dimes)

Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected in 1932, because the American people felt Herbert Hoover wasn't doing his job. People were hungry and pissed off, and they wanted a change.

And boy did they get one.

We need to learn to heed some of FDR's advice:

"A nation that destroys it's soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people."

"But while they prate of economic laws, men and women are starving. We must lay hold of the fact that economic laws are not made by nature. They are made by human beings. "

"I think we consider too much the good luck of the early bird and not enough the bad luck of the early worm."
